はじめまして！マーセル ・バーシュ です。よろしくおねがいします。

My name is Marcel Baarsch! Welcome to my personal blog where I explore computer networking, cybersecurity, travel, language learning, what it means to be human, and more. I currently work as a network specialist for an ISP and I have associate degrees in computer science and cybersecurity. I’ve always had a strong interest in technology and I used to do game programming as a hobby. I made a documentary as the keynote for Ludum Dare 38 at GDC 2017. I’m a life long learner and I enjoy sharing knowledge with others.

In addition to my technical pursuits, I’m currently learning Japanese (日本語)! I started learning in November 2024 in preparation for my first trip to Japan in 2025. I wanted to take on the challenge of learning a language that uses a completely different writing system from English/Spanish. Now, I’m excited to improve my reading and comprehension skills through college courses, anki flash cards, Japanese media, and speaking with fluent speakers.
